Two in today -I may have done a little squeal when I realised it wasn't a bill or junk mail! Thank you so much TerraNoir and Type40.

Have a long train journey this weekend so hoping to get some replies written then!

I think I haven't sent anything out this week. After checking, nothing since last Sunday. Not so good.

I often buy online from USPS to save a trip and to see what's new.

I've taken to buying online because the post offices around me have a very poor selection of new stamps. Yes, I ordered some despite the week's delay. I hope it won't be prolonged beyond that.

Seven were done today, including a thank you note to Visconti for fixing the Blue Ripple. 9 came in this week along with the ones that were here so I haven't broke even yet, but I love, love, love every single letter. And I still take whatever time I need to reply.

My local PO takes way more than one week past the official release date of stamps before they have them. At least one full month after the first international "forever" stamp was released they still didn't have any. That has been true for several releases I've asked about. The last time I asked for some postcard stamps, they sold me the old rate postcard stamps even though the new rate was already in effect, as they didn't have the $0.34 stamps yet. (They didn't sell me $0.33 + $0.01 combos; they just sold me the $0.33 and didn't mention they were not the current rate.) Even with waiting for shipping, online ordering is faster.

Last night I posted a 9 sheets of A5 (sounds like a lot, but it is only like two sheets of A4 written on both sides, right?) letter, so stemmed my drought at six days.

drought and draught; two extremely badly spelled words.

I'm a stamp geek, so I keep several sheets on hand all the time--and thus have the leisure to wait the week for shipping...

OK, just in case I'm on your pen pal list and just so you know: I am terrified of CLOWNS.

Got one written for sending out tomorrow (well, technically today!), and think I'll get another one written whilst quiet at work. Just got to pick someone off the list

Eight written this weekend. Only ten remain in the reply stack!

I too have started ordering stamps online, much better selection. The folks at my post office said that they can't get new stamps until they sell out of old stamps (when there's a rate change). HQ simply won't give them any.
