If it helps, it was a white bubble envelope with bright blue circles and a crow sticker on it. Hard to miss in a stack...

Why thank you! All in good fun really, but I really go through them quickly. Sitting here making some more as I type.

Was in Chicago this weekend for a Family Thing. I brought letter-writing stuff, but found no time to write. 18 in the queue now and I'm looking forward to next weekend's letter writing marathon.

Oh no I didn't get 18 in one week, that's just a snapshot of the correspondence flow. The inbox hasn't been empty for a looong time. I had it down to 10ish, but missing a weekend really sets me back.

Hmmm, anyone at the mail room who's less obstructive and better informed than the person you get at the front desk?

Perhaps they're holding it in some back room?

I'm so sorry, all those purples! I'd send you more but we need a safer mail drop!

Yes, of course, letters are always good.

ALL THOSE PURPLES??? I'm terribly sad now. I thought it was one. Send the second letter to my home addy if you wish. I'll be there in two weeks anyway, then we know the letter will make it- the mailman is a family friend

In light of this I will go look imposing to the mailroom man after field school tomorrow and demand he go check. The front desk boys aren;t good for much but the GA and supervisor are mostly competent.

I just sent them a very passive aggressive email that will be a delight to respond to in the morning I'm sure. Sadly, the fault may lie with the post office. I've had issues with them as well- if not I'd just get a PO box already.

Today I sent a weeks-late thank you letter to a wonderful geek who built me a beautiful vintage franken-pen...

I just got a sheet of year 2000 Forever post card stamps--"American Illustrators", 20 different images...fun!
Did you order them online? OR do you live near a well-stocked Post Office?
I found them in mint condition on eBay almost at their original price and free shipping . I just enjoy stamps that much that I go looking....

I LOVE stamps, too---my Dad was a Letter Carrier so stamps are in my blood. I shall schedule a Stamp Safari after I recover from some recent surgery and all that darn anesthetic that never wants to leave one's system, causing a "mental slowdown". (as if I need additional help for THAT!)

    Thanks for the "lead" VertOlive!
