Online arguments are a lot like the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
As soon as the audience begins to participate, any actual content is lost in the resulting chaos and cacophony.
At that point, all you can do is laugh and enjoy the descent into debasement.

Don't be too in awe. They're all Christmas cards that are disappointingly impersonal. My original plan had been to pen a short note in (at least several of) them, but Midterm Exams and procrastination did their evil work on my timetable. The addresses (mailing and return) were all done on our printer, as were the labels to seal the envelopes (no, I didn't even lick them). I actually felt ashamed sending them out. The only vaguely personal touch is that I did actually sign each card on behalf of the family. Not impressive by any stretch of the imagination.

Impressive if you've signed them all with an extra wet Visconti Dreamtouch stub on shiny cardstock.
I managed two before giving up covered in ink and smearing everything and switching to a 1.1 Lamy Italic.

Nope. Esterbrook J with a fine nib and loaded with Chesterfield Archival Vault IG. It behaved beautifully, even though the cardstock was a kind of semi-gloss, I think.

Got a card returned to me (no idea why), so stuffed it intact into a bigger envelope and tried again. Then another late Christmas card out...

Anyone in the mood to be part of my Envolopes addressed with Noodler's Kung Te Cheng via metal dip nib, drop me something or PM me your address. The actual letter will be with a fountain pen. I am trying to understand dip pens. Not drive anyone insane. :-)

I owe you a letter first, but I expect insane dip nib action on your reply envelope.

Got some letter-writing done today, which felt great. I've got two whole days of unstructured, people-free time: my kind of weekend. This hasn't happened in months! I'm in heaven. More letters will be written tomorrow. Now for snacks and books. Whee!

Lots of letters leaving Ypsi tomorrow. I'll be in good shape when the inky rhino comes 'round in February.

Yep, there are two in the reply pile going out as the first letters of 2015.
