happy new year and happy to report that my pile (since incowrimo) is finally empty. the new year will start off with a clean slate and now i a. off to do some Type40-like reports.
My reply pile has been giving me dirty looks all over christmas so now all the madness is over I can finally get round to writing some letters again! Hopefully send one out before the weekend.
We look forward to the time when the power of love will replace the love of power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.
We will wait Chris

Lady Onogaro (January 1st, 2015)
One written today, but no mail service for some unfathomable reason.
End of year tally:
I started InConWriMo with a safe and modest 9 pen pals, but picked up a handful over the summer, ending the year with 14.
2014 total: 94 in, 112 out, which includes hand written letters to people not counted in the 14 (like Stephen Brown, who didn't write back, and Her Majesty the Queen, who did!)
Most prolific correspondent: 18 in, 21 out
Least prolific correspondent (besides Doc Brown): 1 in, 2 out
Least prolific of the original 9 correspondents: 4 in, 5 out
Listed in order of most frequent writer to least, correspondents #'s 2 & 4 write the shortest letters, while #'s 1 & 3 write the longest letters.
Online arguments are a lot like the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
As soon as the audience begins to participate, any actual content is lost in the resulting chaos and cacophony.
At that point, all you can do is laugh and enjoy the descent into debasement.

My zero reply pile has now bloated out to 6 in a week.
Already for it again in 2015 so saddle up that snail !
2014 had a lot on non-repliers but that was more than compensated by new regular correspondents along with the old InCoWriMo dependables- thanks to all those.

Since Dreck and Bogon07 shared a little about their 2014 letter writing adventures, I will share mine.
I sent out 304 pieces of mail (198 domestic and 106 international) and received 217 pieces.
Mail was sent out to 57 different people, 17 were old pen pals of which I still write to 10 of them and picked up 17 new ones. There are a handful that i hear from sporadically and they were not added in. Do not want to think about how much I spent on postage last year.
Well, I went from 0 correspondents before IncoWriMo to 16, most of whom write regularly, though I have been terrible this fall as the semester wore on. I'm catching up now. I love writing to them all. I guess I will have to be more diligent in keeping statistics--I find everyone's very interesting. I still remember Mark's Incowrimo experiment (which I hope he repeats this spring).
Thank you to all my correspondents; you have all brightened my year considerably!

Yeah, you got one of those Christmas cards. They were rubbish; sent out at the last minute with nothing personal but a hastily-scribbled signature (this is what happens when the princess and I fail to communicate). I didn't count those in my number of letters out. The one ready for today's mail is yours, though. I counted out in my 'outs' even though it's actually my first letter of 2015.

Shocking lack of letter writing lately. Hoping to get caught up next week on holiday :-)
Bogon07 (January 2nd, 2015)
I walked into the post office this morning to post a letter only to open my bag and find I'd left it on my desk! Here's hoping my year and my memory improve from now on.

First two in of the year
Thanks Ladies, I am sure it would be faster to just visit Sam ;-)

two out this morning. I used my last Global stamp so some of my international corespondents are going to have to wait. I ordered more from USPS.com but it will take a little while to receive.

Two in and almost two out. The second one washed away by a cup of coffee and a Rambunctious Good Night Hugger. Tomorrow is another day...
