I'm now 6 out for 6 days. So far I've not received any though. I hope they don't all come together at the end of the month.

Received one letter on Friday. Busy weekend writing and posted out 4, 2 letters to Continental US and 2 overseas.

Yesterday I received a Happy New Year postcard (dated 31/12/19) plus a letter dated 28/1/20 both from the US.
I have also received a letter from a British friend. I'm currently 8 for 11 so have a bit of catching up to do....

Four letters in today, including one with a nice wax seal (slightly damaged).

Out - well, just need to seal up and affix postage, for one missive to go off to the NL.

I ended up putting my updates over on A World of Snail Mail instead, so here is the summing up!

Successfully wrote and sent 29 letters. 14 were replies, some of them to new people. Reply pile is currently at 5 (7 as of lunchtime!) and I'm expecting a few more incoming.

I didn't tint any paper this year, but I did make envelopes, draw snails (and a few non-snails) and add a fair number of wax seals. I think I only used stickers on one letter though, was intending to try and use more...

Argh! Apologies, but work is swamped and my replies have slowed to a crawl.

Got letters awaiting reply stacked up like planes over La Guardia, as people used to say, including a letter from VertOlive. (See? She really has been getting them out the door. Despair not if needs be you must eagerly await a letter from her Ladyship for yet a while longer.) Am about a third of the way through my reply to the letter on top of the pile.

Yep! Letters and cards. I even scanned and emailed a postcard image to one Geek who prefers no paper for a while!

Rather bizarrely one just went in the post box to the pharmacy. Neither love nor money can get through to them on the 'phone at the moment, so Special Agent Bond (Basildon Bond) is on the case.

Couple of thank you letters for birthday gifts.

To my surprise I found the postbox opening jammed with mail and for a moment thought Covid-19 had turned the village into the correspondence capital of Cornwall. Instead it seemed someone had failed to angle their post to ensure it dropped rather than wedge across the top, and then others had just crammed theirs in after. Nevertheless, for a rural box that is usually barely used, it was impressive. Postie's going to have a shock when he collects at 4pm.

Two yesterday: one to Montblanc's service center thanking them for the quick turnaround on my Chopin 145, and the other to the NY HQ passing mes compliments to the lady who took my payment info.

Two today: San Diego, and Paris. Have not heard from my photographer friend there, and his website is down.
