Wow! you could do some serious damage
Ah, yes, Spyderco. Very nice. I have the Spyderfly, a butterfly knife. I think there might be some pics of it with some pens in one of my albums in my profile.
Sent from my Sprint HTC Hero using Tapatalk.
I bought one of those Centofante 3's for my son for Scouts, that is a great little knife. I thought about getting one for myself. Though I prefer thumb-studs to thumb-holes.

Bill: So you guys also see Jim Neighbors riding a killer whale in space?
Hi there Leo! I too am a Leo...small world because I am a knife collector too. I have a Spyderco Harpy and a Fred Perrin Street Beat also sold by Spyderco.
The Fred Perrin Street Beat is the bottom knife shown here:

And the Harpy:

The Harpy has been my EDC for nearly 20 years.

A lover of Aurora and Delta Pens!
My dad's had the second knife for years....loves the thing!
Hi Will
When you say the second knife, do you mean the Syderco Harpy or the second one in the first picture, the Fairbairn - Sykes Commando knife. The Harpy has been my most useful knife ever. The commando knife is probably the most famous combat knife particularly of WWII. Was your Dad in the Armed Forces Will?
Best regards
Leo

I meant the one in the later half of the OP's picture (bottom half.) My grandpa fought in WWII, but my dad is a yacht designer...
That is really scary... and probably illegal in the UK. I know butterfly knives are.
It gets creepier in the context of thread necromancy...

"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.
Boss gave me one of these and I have been EDC'ing it for a few weeks now. I kind of like it. Definitely handy if not a bit bulky.
Fountain Pen Sith Lord | Daakusaido | Everything in one spot
not illegal to own in the uk at all or use if you have a good reason , a knife is a tool as useful and older than the pen .
hard to think of a good resonable use for that blade but if you can think of a reason or have reason , you can legally carry any knife in the uk .
i carry everyday the spyderco ukpk or delica which is a more non knife person freindly looking , spyderco are an excellent company i dont know pens well enought to name a similar company but i bet there is one , great ergos , blades steels , handle materials, designs , packaging and customer care.
i just got the gerber suspension too after not really liking them for a long time , but they are very smooth to use and well built i like mine a lot now.

Consider this a n00b question, if you like:
Why would anyone have an EDC knife? What occupation or lifestyle makes having a knife on your person ubiquitous?
"When Men differ in Opinion, both Sides ought equally to have the Advantage of being heard by the Publick;
and that when Truth and Error have fair Play, the former is always an overmatch for the latter."
~ Benjamin Franklin
The question is: why not?
A few examples: cutting food, opening packages/letters, cutting string, whittling wood, clean your nails, removing splinters...
Any more or less "outdoor" lifestyle require a knife.
Any more or less "manual labour" jobs require a knife (construction, farming, carpentry, electrical installations). People working in warehouses, supermarkets need knives...
The list is endless! I could not imagine life without a knife!
Kind regards,
Jos
Believe me, this isn't trolling at all, I was sincerely curious. "Why not" doesn't ever seem like a good answer, because virtually anything could fall into that category. As to your reasons, I suppose that my occupation (a professional musician) means that I don't do the kind of things one needs to do to constantly have a knife. Make no mistake: I have a set of tools at the concert hall, including some sharps, that serve me well, there just isn't any need to carry one on my person, nor would I want to. "Cutting food" - you're not kidding, are you? With the same blade as cleaning your nails?
Of course, most of this is about lifestyle, and I'm in a pretty urban environment. Every place I need something knife-related, there are knives available, so I don't carry one. I think, just as I can imagine people carrying knives all the time (or will be attempting to do on a broader scale), maybe now you can imagine someone not.
