No, its just a hobby and the result of almost 25 years of pen collecting. I call it my Fountain Pen Museum. Accessable for family and friends only.
I would love to visit that museum

In my current collection, which I am trying to keep below 20 pens, for my own peace of mind, so I can use the ones I have--though there are many pens I would love to have/add:

    Pelikans- 10 (8 modern, 2 vintage)
    Montblanc- 5 (4 modern, 1 vintage)
    Graf von Faber-Castell- 2
    Sailor- 1
    Conway Stewart- 1 (vintage
    Aurora- 1
Waterman- 1, my first fountain pen years ago, a Phileas

I am pretty new to this addiction. My collection:

    Lamy Safari (green)
    TWSBI Eco
    Parker "21"
    Kaweco Skyline Sport

All of them are fine nibs.

I'm getting more and more interested in piston fillers and eye droppers. Increasingly my converters don't give me the flow I want.

    Eye droppers, 8 Edisons and 3 Franklin's.
3 sheaffer legacies, and 2 sheaffer targas.
    And a Lamy 2000.

Functional and I still have time to mess with inks.

Here is my small beginner collection:

-Pilot Super 500 - absolutely lovely (switch or quarter filler with a dried sac). Could anyone tell what's the procedure to replace the sac and where the sacs could be found?
-Pilot E300 quarter filler (also with a dried sac)
-Pilot Capless (I don't know what are the proper cartridges that fit)
    -Platinum Pocket Pen (I guess it's a PKA-500)
-Parker 75 Sterling Silver dish tassie
    -Parker Vector
    -Waterman Expert I
-Waterman C/F - nib problem, it has been bent (bought from a flea-market)
    -Sheaffer Targa (unknown model)
    -Inoxcrom 2002/O (Spain)
-Hua Hong (China) - unknown model, with a beautiful nib and very smooth writing
    -Reynolds Accent Marble Green (India?)
    -Luxor - unknown model (India)
-other Chinese 1980s fountain pens, copies of the Parker 51: Hero, Wing Sung, Youth, White Feather, aso.

    Regards,

A few months later, I bet your inventory has drastically changed.

I'm surprised you had no Pilot / Namiki on the list.

I have mainly inexpensive pens and about a dozen or so vintage pens. I also have a few brand name pens. I like my collection and that's what matters most.
But honestly I don't like to think of myself as a collector. I'm a fountain pen user. I use all the pens in my collection.

A little bit of everything. Omas and Visconti, Jinhao and Wing Sung, Sheaffer and Parker, It's all over the place but I seem to have a bend towards Italian pens.

Here's my collection, accumulated over 50 years, beginning with a Parker 75 in sterling cisele and a Montblanc 149. My Pelikans are in the brown case under the glass lid, and most of my Montblancs are in the black Collector's Box. In the penwrap are a Namiki Emperor Vermilion, a CFP LB5, a Danitrio Gen-kai, and a couple of Izumos. Everything else is in the trays.

    Wow!!!

You have to show us more detail. It looks like a gorgeous collection.
The gold Waterman MAN 100 set are 'specimens' or solid gold?
What's the unusual yellow Duofold at the end of the line in the 2nd tray from right top row?

The gold Waterman Man 100 set is solid 18k. The yellow Duofold is a special edition that came out a few years ago. There was another earlier special edition yellow Duofold that I think had multiple thinner cap rings. On my pen, the plated areas tend to show scratches easily, so I don't use it much. In the middle of that same tray is a Parker Premier solid 18k set.
