Carter, Rollins and Tyner, that's a trio I'd love to see live.
Four currently inked, all Japanese. Pilot CH 92, Pilot Custom 74, Namiki Falcon and Sailor 1911L. Kon Peki, Sailor Jentle Sky High Blue, Sheaffer Black, Edelstein Saphire. Oh, forgot, Lamy Safari Dark Lilac with Lamy Dark Lilac ink.
Three at the moment: Pelikan M805 (f) with Iro Take-Sumi; Delta Dolce Vita (B) with Iro Asa-Gao; and a Vac 700 (1.1 stub) with an Edelstein (the green one with the name I can never remember). I find I never use more than 2 or 3 at a time, but I always want more, anyway.
Four today, one with a different ink in it even.

I used to be one of those people who always had six pens in use with different colours for my work. I would like to pass my accumulated software and knowledge on to a new generation and retire, so I have had no reason to design software for a while. As a consequence I now only have one, a Parker Moderne filled with Tsutsuji, in use.
Just 4 today. But I could get by easily with 2. Two blue and a couple with teal.
Probably about 3-4 at any one time. Usually keep one loaded with a blue, one with a red, one with a brown and then one with a 'lively' colour (aquamarine, purple, orange etc).

Four now and with all different inks.
Normally 8, but I'm trying to get ready for a move so I'm down to 4. As the inks run out I'll store them until I'm down to 2. For some reason, I cannot write my pen pals with a single ink color...

Right now it is 10-12 range. Two with Pelikan Blue-Black, nine with other colors.

Probably a dozen at least, but all various type nibs. Flex, needle, cursive italic, music, oblique, BBB........I do a lot of writing.

I've got maybe a dozen inked, but that's because I just got back from the Dallas Pen Show and wanted to write in all my new inks. Well, that's my excuse anyway.

Now up to five. The sky is falling!

Ten, with 8 inks. But most of these pens are multiples of the same model save nib (4 F-C pocket 66, 4 Lamy 2000, 1 Sailor 1911L, 1 Peli M400)
8: 2 Pelikans, a TWSBI, a Cross, a Ranga, a KaWeCo, a Jinhao, and a Pilot.
My inking statistics are always skewed by piston pens because they don't ever go dry.
It's up to five now, which is really pushing my maximum for practicality, especially since I decided some time ago that my Pilot Varsities and Esterbrook Dip-Less sets don't count. I rarely use the Varsities, but frequently use the Dip-Lesses.
But when I do have this many pens inked, I cycle through them often enough to assure myself that none of them are drying up. And one or two should be empty again fairly soon.

Sweet Jesus... right now it's more than twenty inked up, and I just received some more diamine, and I'm so annoyed I refilled a couple last week, so I won't be able to try any new flavours for a while

I was over 20 which is overwhelming . As I clean them, I'm setting aside for a while. But I like several nib and color options at any time.....
Seven.

Made an impulsive purchase of a box of Dollar demonstrators and inked them up rainbow fashion just for the fun of it, so currently an unusual fourteen.
