    Default My Parker pens

    Hello all.

    Here's my Parker pen collection:

    From left to right:

    Criss-cross barrel/cap pattern: Unknown Parker
    Orange: Parker Duofold.
Black with gold: Parker Popular M.I.D.
    Bordeaux: Parker Victory M.I.D.
Blue with gold: Parker Duofold M.I.D.
Bordeaux, awaiting new cap: Duofold M.I.D.
Black w. gold cap: Parker 51.
Black w. gold cap: Parker 51.
Black w. steel cap: Parker 21.
Red w. steel cap. gold clip: Parker 17 M.I.D.
Green w. blank steel cap: Parker 17 - english.
Green w. ribbed steel cap: Parker 17 M.I.D.
    Green/green: Parker 45 School F.
    Steel/steel: Unknown Parker.
Black w. steel cap: Parker 51.
Black w. steel cap: Parker Frontier.
    Black/black: Parker IM Black CT.
    Black/black, curvy: Parker Urban.

I've got one more black/gold 51, but I don't want it to get mixed up with the two others, as it's my father's old pen.
And the Victory and the Urban is inked up and put to good use every day.
Apart from that, I've only got one thing to say:
Thank God for the Parker Penography page!

    Cheers,

    Maria.

Nice collection! What is with the clip on the 2nd pen (the duofold)? The first pen looks like a Parker Victory (http://parkerpens.net/victory.html) with two bands and the wrong clip.

    Best!

Thanks, the clip on the Duofold? Beats me.

And the text on the barrel - well used, apparently.

The other pen, the one with the crisscross pattern:

    Cap:

    Nib:

So now I'm not even sure if it's a Parker at all, or a bastardized no-name brand with parts from other pens.

That is still a cool looking pen even if it does not have the proper nib.

(everything here is about the purple pen...) hmmmm...that clip is from a Parker sub-debuante vacumatic I think, but the weird thing is the presence of two bands on the cap...the Victory pens only had one band...it is not a Victory at all, I think---the victory pens used a washer clip that was tightened by the cap top which also served as the inner cap. Your pen's cap setup is like the vacumatic's, not the duofold's.

Maybe it is a candystripe vac: http://fountainpenboard.com/forum/up..._58_864950.jpg
But they have THREE bands! I'm confused here...

I'm now pretty convinced it is a candystripe vac missing a blind jewel.

Hmmm, I know that a danish company made a deal with Parker and was allowed to make danish-made Parker pens, so-called M.I.D's - Made In Denmark - I've got a few of those.
Could it be such a pen, but with a tiny difference in the cap bands to set it apart from the original Parker pens?

The criss-cross/candy stripe looks fascinating and the orange Duofold stands out. Overall a nice bunch of Parkery Parkers.

    Thanks for sharing.

    You're welcome!
Does the pen have an imprint?

No. I've checked it thoroughly, and I cannot find any traces or remains of an imprint anywhere on the barrel or the cap.
The pen measures 116 mm from tip of the cap jewel to the flat end of the blind cap.
The barrel measures approximately 11-12 mm Ø, and the cap is approx. 60 mm long.

No, it's not a candy-stripe Vacumatic. The Vac plastic has a lot more depth to it. It most likely isn't a Parker at all. The clip seems like it doesn't fit well at all, and I suspect it to be a replacement.

Yeah. I went back to looking at this post and realized what you said, but forgot to correct myself... The proportions look off as well.

Hi again and thank you very much for your replies.
I've been ill for quite a while, but now I'm back.
It sure sounds like someone somewhere in time repaired a pen with various parts, so I'll classify it as a curious bastard pen.
Thank you very much for your kind help, I appreciate it a lot since I had problems figuring out just exactly what pen this was.
Guess it wasn't so strange that I couldn't figure it out.

The Parker with the criss-cross pattern has a Degussa nib in it.
Degussa was a German manufacturer and made very good nibs. It should give more flex than the Parker nib. As long as you are happy with the way it writes, that's all that matters.
