Default Inadvertently removed my Al-Star feed.

I was going to give the nib and exposed feed a good cleaning, but the feed came out.

Ok, so I cleaned the whole feed. It should slip right back in, yes?

    no.

(ok, it's back in, I credit the starting of this thread so I'll see it through and post it.)

feed's looking pretty chewed up, we'll see if it works anymore.

never pulled one of these feeds before- they are hard to get back in.

Yes, but align it. I think there is a groove it slides into and then clicks in place. That is if it is anything like my old Vista. I have not pulled the feed on my Al-Star yet.

That must be a relief to get it back in.
Have you inked it up to test it yet ?

Anyone know if the al-star feed is the same as the safari? I did the same thing to my safari the othe day, but it went straight back in. No problems - so far...

I know I can't be the only one who takes a good deal of friendly ribbing over my little pen problem. Every time I pull out another pen my biz partner is like 'is that a 1.5 flexy?'

As a current AL-star owner I winced at this article but I hope the pen don't cause any future problems for you.

Agreed, using my Ocean Blue Al-Star now and this post made me a little nervous.

    Joe, that's the 1.5mm ita!ic nib.

Pen's been writing just fine since I got it put back together. Don't be nervous. I've beat the hell out of this pen for almost ten years. took that long for the feed to get loose enough to come out.

So I know this is an older thread but the Goulet's actually posted a pretty helpful video on it today. Figured I'd attach the link here just in case anyone else stumbles across this looking for a solution!
