I can confirm that Fred's postcards are always interesting, often vintage. I've been trying to reply with off-beat ones in response.

I find it impossible to get postcards as good as Fred's to return to him, and try to make my own from interesting pictures in magazines.

It is difficult to get amusing postcards here. I have many comic postcards that I brought here with me from the US. I hadn't used them for years and I had forgotten them. They turned up one day when I was looking for something else and I thought, "Perfect for Fred!" Your idea sounds great.
