    Cool Postcard swaps

You may already know the joy of real written correspondence, especially when written with genuine ink from a nib. But there's also postcards!

If you'd like to swap postcards, do the following:

    1. Send a private message (PM) to others in this thread that includes your mailing address, asking them to reply with their address.
    2. Post in this thread your interest in swapping postcards and invite others to send a PM to you with their address, and that you will reply with your address.

Note that No. 1 alone is more effective than No. 2 alone. Both is best by far.

So, anyone for the following postcards? I have lots, especially the older vintage size.

railways and trams: steam diesel electric
vintage linen postcards of western North Carolina and Blue Ridge Parkway
vintage postcards of US states and Canada provinces, western Europe, Japan
    modern and old China
Pennsylvania, especially city of Reading and Berks County, from the 1970s (many!)
vintage and modern postcards of Amish
vintage photo cards of people and homes (my favorite)
    vintage early 20th-century Holland
vintage and modern cards of art and architecture
    vintage hotels and motels
and there are others, to be sure

I just popped over to your Postcrossing profile to see if there were specific themes of postcards you'd like - but you enjoy all types! If you sign up for incowrimo-2017, I could send some postcards with a letter!

I won't commit to anymore writing projects, because I am already so behind in my correspondence. Terrible.

However, I really encourage people to engage Fred in this - he sends the BEST postcards!

How odd the timing: I have one sitting out for the postman for you today, Fred.

I still buy postcards even though I rarely send via Postcrossing. I bought a postcard book and a half-used postcard box from a charity shop in Cambridge last month.

I make it a point to send interesting, odd and offbeat postcards, but David Opdyke has me beat! Read the linked NYT article.

Wow! He has a lot. You do certainly send interesting, odd and offbeat postcards. No problem there.
