    Hello Azkid,

I have just noticed your location!
Is it true that Denver is a mile high (5280 feet) above sea level?

Absolutely true! At least a few spots like the steps of the Capitol...

Of course there's all sorts of variation in the area. I'm on the south end of the metro area at 5519 ft ASL.

A shot comparing complete sets of Waterman Juniors and Eversharp Oxfords, both from the mid/late-1930s. I was intrigued to discover that both models shared the same range of colors:

    aka Estragon (FPN); popcodswallop (Reddit)

WANTED: Vintage Pens with White Trim! –> Sheaffer: OS Balance w/ reverse trim (grey/red vein); Balance (grey/red fleck) | First-Yr Crest (silver cap); Canadian Balance 5-30 (roseglow, ebonized pearl, green) | Waterman: Lady Patricia (persian) | Wahl-Eversharp: Half Coronet (rhodium cap); Doric (Cathay); Skyline (SS/Sterling Cap) | Rebadged Parkers from Diamond Medal and Webster (silver web, pinstripe, etc.)

BCHR pens from America with NPT. None is too uncommon, but it took quite some time to find squeaky clean examples:

    From L to R:

    1. c.1905–10 Waterman #52
    2. 1920s Aikin Lambert Capitol Cabinet
    3. c.1915 A.A. Waterman Twist Filler
    4. c.1916 Parker Jack-Knife Safety #20 1/2
    5. c.1916 Parker Jack-Knife Safety #20
    6. c.1913 Sheaffer-Clip #3A
    7. c.1923-7 Sheaffer #2
    8. c.1921-2 Wahl Tempoint #72

There's a storm raging outside in the UK today, travel is discouraged, so I thought that I would share my mini-collection that I call "Pens whose makers I have met"

What unusual pens you have there. And WOW what a storm Ciara turned out to be. We lost 3 fence panels yesterday and have never lost any before!

And he is such a pleasant, unassuming young man. A privilege to do business with him.

I am not so sure about his more expensive "Architect" and "Jaali" pens, a bit blingy for me, but he obviously knows his target market.

I love that Twiss pen. John Twiss always seems to find such gorgeous materials, old French celluloids for instance. I regret not buying one of those pens when I met him at Cambridge pen show... I got a second hand Twiss pen a bit later but it's not quite as lovely as RWS's.

I am in agreement with you, having visited the website, I would have picked the Mirage also.

It's all gone a bit quiet here, so here's a mini collection of wood or woodish pens.

    Wood 1 (1).JPG

    Wood 2.JPG

Bamboo Calligraphy pen from Andy's Pens
Unknown wood pen. I can't remember anything about it, but it is probably from the 1970s or 1980s
Pilot Custom Grandee Briar wood ?
    Desiderata Soubriquet Dymalux
    Graf von Faber Castell Pernambucco
Wenge pen with Sheaffer section from Przemyslaw Marcinski in Poland
Yew wood kit pen from the 1980s
