Hello. Thanks for the link to the article, great read.
Being a non-native English speaker, I have a question: what does the expressions missing the chase but not the company mean? I understand what missing the chase means, however the meaning of 'the company' escapes me. Does he mean other competing pen collectors?

I always thought the expression 'not missing' something meant you did not like it or hated it when it was there but it's not there anymore.
