Many thanks to those who have expressed such kind words. The emergency has resolved itself, in a manner of speaking, and our family is now smaller by one.

I'm an ocean away from my inks, so the winner must wait unfortunately. I should be back home on 13 November, but the dispatch of ink samples will not be my priority when I return.

This little PIF has given me some welcome distraction (as do my pens) during a time of turmoil and distress. As I am quite jet lagged, I am up before the rest of the house so I had a few moments of quiet to do the drawing.

Don't worry at all about when you get around to sending them, this is all just in good fun, the real stuff going on in your life of course takes precedence. It's a generous offer no matter when it winds up in the mail! I'm awfully sorry that things are in turmoil, though.

I didn't really want to start a new thread for it since it's not remotely a review, but

this is my first "tested" sample from this PIF: Raw Sienna. The photo color looks fairly close to what I see on the page, though it's perhaps got just a little more of an olive-ish hint IRL than is visible here. But it's pretty close, at least on my screen. It's a really nice color that will very likely find its way to me later on.

So pleased to hear the inks arrived safe and sound. And I'm also happy to hear that you appreciate Diamine Raw Sienna which is one of my favourite lighter browns due to the absence of strong red tones.
