Ha! Now that I have my Seven Seas pad and some ink, no one is safe! Three whole letters ready for the Monday mail!

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it does take a while like Tracy-Lee said, depending on what's going on and how deep our reply-to stack is. It is a bit depressing to write long, well-crafted first letters and receive nothing in response. Been there, done that. Hang in there!

I can certainly vouch for Ira and Tracy-Lee, which reminds me, I owe them both letters.

And while I remember, are you sure they've received them? I mailed an anniversary card to my parents 6 weeks ago (usually takes 2 weeks to get there) and they haven't received it yet.
Did you remember to put a return address on your letter ?

Time seems to go slowly when waiting of pens and letters. Maybe they are still trying to compose a long & well-crafted response to you.

I often wonder how many I've mis-addressed or just plain gone astray in the mail system.
Ira (Writingrav) said he rec'd one of my incorrectly addressed letters but luckily he is so well known by his postmen/women they knew where it should go.
Oh the irony, my last letter was returned all the way from the USA because I put the wrong zip code on it !

In the US, especially in a smaller town, it's a great benefit if your Mail Carrier knows you well! (And likes to help) Because they will usually give you the mail even with a mistake on it.But ONLY if it gets past the monstrous first sorting office in the major town before being sent to the Post Office which serves you. Some of the "first sorters" have problems reading script or European numbers & the machines will reject them & rather than do the corrections by hand, they send the letters back. You just never know when you write to US.
Luckily most of it gets through out of the millions & billions of world-traveling letters & packages.

I have been away from my inbox for the past 14 days. I have several letters waiting. I got one reply out that somehow was missed from a previous mailing. It was sitting in my mail folder waiting for postage but got mixed up in another section of my folder. I got another reply written and it is being prepared for mailing. 8 more letters are still in my reply queue.

I can relate, as I always dreaded going on days after being on nights. Seems I had trouble adjusting to morning. Got more done off hours. Good luck!
