I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a non-sketchy, non-prisoner related penpal site. I am super excited about this. Wow.

I'm 32, female, and a really, really, disgustingly reliable correspondence partner. Normally, that and a subway token will get me on the subway. But maybe it'll come in handy here. I'd like to swap letters with someone in the United States.

I work as an editor, translating what engineers write into English. My heart really belongs in suicide prevention, though - I've been volunteering on a hotline for a long time. I own two rescue dogs (one is blind), I like cheap red wine, and I'm intensely organized. No kids, never married. My coworkers mostly know me for my high heels. I'm pretty sure it's more admiration than jealousy, but I work with two dozen men with no social skills. I never really know what to expect.

If you want to swap letters, please PM me with your address and a little bit about yourself. I'm really looking forward to it!

Hi. My name is Todd and I'm a letter-holic and a faithful responder.

My handwriting is readable; my letter topics variable. I'm more than willing to chat about pens, paper and ink, but my letters tend to be about everyday stuff - what I'm having for dinner, our latest yard project, what my kids are up to and such.

I'm a 63 year old happily married man, father of two grown girls, liberal leaning, and a retired university professional.

Looking forward to corresponding with all near and far.

    Please PM for my address.

Just to let you know, there's a "snail mail" group (or, as I call it, "poste à l'escargot") that's been around a while. They put out a magazine with listings and articles and "ghost letters". I joined when it began then lost touch, but they're still around and they do have a website now where you can take a peek before joining.

However, FPGeeks has some really great people to write to, too! Good luck!

    Hi all,

I made a list of everyone I could think of to write to, and it was quickly apparent that there aren't enough people there to make it through the whole month of February. I am really looking for a way to use my fountain pens more, and InCoWriMo looks like just the opportunity I've been looking for. My name is Randy. I'm 51 years old, male, happily married for 29 years, with two grown children (1 married and 1 in college). I have reasonably legible, cursive handwriting (thanks to my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Larsen), live in Utah, and may be one of the few liberal Mormons left. I'm a software support engineer, and I enjoy computers, mountain bikes and pens (quite a combo, eh?). I also lived in Japan for 18 months a very long time ago, so I have more than a passing interest in things Japanese. Hopefully something I said piqued your interest; if so, PM me for my address, and we can get this InCoWriMo thing going!

Being married to someone with an Engineering Degree I'll second that - as long as she doesn't read this post.

I will carry the motion as I am also married to an engineer, AND I work for NASA so when you talk about translating what engineers write or say into something comprehensible to anyone else, I will just say . . . have mercy, this is my life. :what:

Hi there everyone! I'm -very- new to this. I'd never even heard of InCoWriMo before now! I've always wanted to write letters, but I never had anyone to write to. I'm a 23 year old application developer. I like to play video games, read, program, and I am currently writing a book. I own two cats, a dog, and a bearded dragon. I can talk about anything, really. I have degrees in both Computer Science MIS and Accounting, and I'm definitely bored. I am making my own video game, as well, if that matters at all. x3

If anyone would like to swap addresses, please send me a PM~

Hi Anzara, the 2014 InCoWriMo participation/pen pals addresses swapping thread is here.

The InCo website also has a list of 28 persons' addresses for you to write to - one for each day of February. Have fun and kick your boredom in the behind.

None of my offline family or friends are into writing letters that I know of, so ironically I'm going to the Internet for snail mail correspondents.

My oldest son has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from RHIT. He's fairly socially adept, but some of his college stories really cracked us up.

Q: How can you tell if an Engineer is an introvert or an extrovert?

A: Extroverted Engineers look down at other peoples' shoes when they speak instead of looking down at their own

Since there is a new thread for 2014 maybe one of the moderators could freeze this thread (close it to new entries) so that new interested parties will post in the 2014 thread?

Also if that is possible maybe just copy the few 2014 entries from this thread to the new thread as well?

    Kind regards,

    Rui
