My Custom Pelikan M800
When I first saw Shawn Newton's work at producing custom bindes for Pelikans, I knew I had to have one. It didn't take long for me to find a donor pen, but then I had to find just the right material. An inspiration came to me as I looked out the window of my Family Room. It was one of those beautiful Autumn days when the sun was bright, the air cool, and the trees just starting to turn all those wonderful colors.
Autumn is my favorite season, so how cool would it be to have it last all year long? It didn't take long to find the right material:
And in a shorter than expected time, Shawn today sent me pictures of the result:
For those contemplating taking the plunge, I can only say that Shawn was a pleasure to deal with, he made every step easy, and from the pictures I already can see I will be delighted when the mailman knocks a few days from now. The leaves are now brown and in piles on the ground, but those beautiful Autumn days will live on in the body of this pen.
