This is totally on my radar too. But there's a few in this range that are. Decisions like this are hard! . Probably need to work like 2-4 jobs to get them all lol.

It's nice but at that sort of money most of them will probably sit in their boxes and not be used on a daily basis. I think it is indeed a work of art but I like to feel comfortable using my pens regularly and bonding with them and I would be afraid to with this. It is like that Japanese art pen whose name I forget.

I use every pen I acquire. Ink them up and lay down your thoughts on the best of papers and journals.

Should I be so lucky to do so with this one, in 10 years I will surely post an update. At least that would be my plan.

Life is way to short to worry about anything outside of using, loving, and enjoying what you purchase. I love fountain pens!!! I deeply enjoy writing / journaling with them. Sharing the joys of everything that will not penish! Who really cares about anything outside of that? Write! Bleed your thoughts onto exquisite papers with a world class writing instrument! There is truly nothing better!

Except to remember: Sharing a sorrow is 1/2 the sorrow. Sharing a joy is twice the joy!

My question in the original post was "is it bad" to get a second job to support my pen addiction. Not your acidic opinion that my choice was a "vulgar western perversion".

There is always one on every forum that feels their opinions are wanted when they are not.
