Chesterfield archival iron gall ink PIF

Hi all,
While cataloguing my inks today I've encountered the aforementioned,see picture. I think I used it once and don't like using iron gall inks all that much, apparently.

I think I've purchased it from xfountains.com which have later been renamed to Birmingham Pens if I'm not mistaken.

Fountain pen newbie here, is iron gall ink bad for older style pens with ink sacs? I see the bottle says to clean regularly, is this because the ink is harsh? I am very interested in learning about this ink and hopefully being able to try it out.

It's made by Diamine Inks in the UK and iron gall inks were originally used in old pens with ink sacs because they were the only pens and inks around. But you can't just fill your pens with it and leave them. That's why it says clean regularly on the bottle.

(Not an entry as I don't use iron gall inks in my pens)
