Oh dear. An impressive gathering! Please let me know about you-know-which when you can.

What color is the top of the M101N cap? I am not familiar with the vintage version.

The 101N has a tortoise cap top. But there were later versions with red cap top as well.

Love just love the tortoise Pelikan. This colour is one of my favourites. Stunning. A great gathering too. Vera

Christof, what a timely thread, I was just taking a photo of the pens I keep in 2016 (as opposed to offer for sale).

As a pen restorer, I have chosen the path where I have to let go some of the most special and beautiful pens I've rescued, and to be rewarded by the pen being loved and cherished by the new owner. I probably am one of the few people whose "collection" includes a collection of writings, sent by my buyers, which means a lot to me.

Anyways, on to the pens. From L to R:

    1. A gift Pelikan 140 with EF nib that can flex with the best of them. Also glacially smooth.
    2. One of my tuckies. Here to represent my fascination on this tiny powerhouse of a fountain pen. It's small, but it means business!
    3. The Japanese Eversharp Skyline clone. The Ohmi Yoko "NAVY" pen. My most unusual find in 2016.
    4. My Milestone pen: The Nakaya Naka-Ai in Heki-Tamenuri Urushi finish. If you need a dictionary to decipher that sentence, I went into more details about this pen here.
    5. A no name celluloid pen. Beautiful, and it used to be a combo, with a very messed up pencil end. So I fashion a blind cap from my spare parts and with the help of my new lathe, I rescued the fountain pen side.
    6. A Waterman 52V from a new friend who taught me a lot about lathe.
    7. The Conklin Endura wood grain ebonite. I love anything wood-grain ebonite, and the Endura is one of my favorite designs.
    8. The big Wahl Pen also in wood grain ebonite with factory medium stub. I worked on this pen for 2 months, I'm keeping it. Enough said.
    9. A little Waterman that only a mother can love (or in this case, a hapless pen restorer). The nib is flawed, but it flexes so beautifully.
    10. My Parker 51 with a factory stub nib. Full of character, just the way I like it. Given to me by the man who taught me how to restore pens as parts, and I assemble it myself. Probably the most special of all of these pens.

    Wow!
The two Pelikan are fantastic. But is this original, a 400 light tortoise with the blind cap of a 500?
    ...looks fantastic in any case.

It's an unofficial, uncatalogued, two-ring light tortoise. Whatever that is, it's great! It will be even better if I can find more!

    Hello,

    I am new here.

Only just looked at your post.

Is it possible for you to post some photograph of your 3 Parker 51's

Do you have any other rare Parker pens aside from the Duofold or 105's ?

    Many thanks for your time.

    Sir,

A great many thanks for your reply.

    Have looked.

Do you actually own all the Parker pens shown?

If you do, I am suggesting you live in the USA.

    ( Remarkable photography - your work ? )

    Many thanks for your time.
