Hello! I'm Aaron Logue, a student at Baylor University studying Mechanical Engineering. I got into fountain pens over the summer when I made my first kit fountain pen for my grandmother. I tested it out for a few days and fell in love with how fountain pens write and feel. Now, six months later, I'm using bespoke pens of my creation every day for all of my writing needs.
I started turning pens in December '15. You'll see pictures of a few of my first pens below, compared to more recent ones. I've come a long way in the last year, but I still have a lot to learn and many tools to acquire.
My current shop is, quite literally, a closet under the stairs in my apartment. I have a small bandsaw, a wood lathe, and plenty of tooling for each. It's cramped, but it keeps me practicing and generating a little bit of income.
I own one vintage pen: And esterbrook J. However, the feed keeps flooding. I need to re-sac with some proper shellac.
