Cool - Thank You for letting us know! I thought the close up of him signing didn't look like a nib, but it was hard to tell.
Here great zoom on the pen at second 19

Thank for pointing which pen it is... not sure about the ink refill, the tip writes very braod, almost like a crayon and the tip looks black in it's entirety as if the ink was flowing all around the tip from where the barrel ends all the way to the paper surface, as if were a felt tip. Does anyone have this pen and confirm the model of pen and refill? May be it's just an optical illusion, camera angle or something.

    Thanks!

I want to know this, too. It looked like an extra broad felt tip - almost like a fine line Crayola marker.

I was wondering the same thing. I could not tell from the tiny photos. But I thought it looked like a Cross.

    Davidafranklin,

Thank you for this information. I do have a further question. The ink appears to be much broader than Medium. Is there a special tip or refill used for these pens. I have several Cross Century II pens all with Medium refills, but they do write the same as what I am seeing in the pictures and videos of the pen being used to sign these executive orders. Is there a special refill or tip for these pens?
    Thanks!

Could the refill have been replaced by a medium porous felt tip instead of the standard rollerball? From what Ive ready, Trump really likes to use Sharpies. This would get him close to the feel of a sharpie. Thoughts?

I am also intrigued. I found this close up:

    Something very soft inside there.

Sorry and by the look of the tip he puts a lot of pressure to it.

Yup, check the Cross website. "Can be converted into a ballpoint pen or creamy porous felt-tip pen by changing the refill to the desired type of tip (refills sold separately)"

No matter what brand, it's the best pen in the world, he deserves it and you all know that.

This isn't entirely relevant but just came across a thread from 2011 on FPN where someone from Franklin-Christof lists Donald Trump among the famous indiviuals who has purchased an FC pen. I wouldn't have thought Trump was into pens.

After the events of late, I must admit I no longer can conscience buying a Cross product new. This may be unfair, as the pens supplied may have been purchased well beforehand as part of a general contract, but they have now played an aesthetic and symbolic part in this horrendous moment. I would be proud if they terminated their supplyment.

I was hoping he used a traditional fountain pen. Maybe next time he will.

You're kidding, right? I would rather not have an object I love to use suddenly become a (albeit small) public symbol of hateful intolerance, corruption, and incompetence. Using a technology of yore would be appropriate, however, considering his reactionary agenda.

No, I'm not kidding at all. I'd like to see all of our presidents use a fountain pen.
