I usually take notes in church and then go back and enter a "cleaned up" version in a nicer journal. Here is what I transcribed last night. Show us a page from your journal.

Your journal post is notable for at least two reasons: (1) you re-write your notes into an art form, and (2) you can follow the Scripture on a cell phone.

    Well done.

    Thank you.

I find that when I rewrite the notes in a more legible form, I have a second chance for things to really sink in.

Thank you. I still think it needs a lot of work.

Glad to see others who actually take notes at church services.

My handwriting is nowhere as neat as the FP Sith Lord, sorry. But fountain pens makes taking notes more enjoyable.

Someone said that we are our own worst critic. I don't see my script as neat. I do agree that fountain pens make the whole experience enjoyable.

Is that pen engraved? Filigree? Maki-e? What pen is it?

It's a cloisonne pen from China, from late 80's.
Brand: Gold Star (or Golden Star).

My dad and I are still discussing how the pen was made. The colors are subtle and beautiful, and the depth of the reliefs is beyond any cloisonne pen pictures I've seen anywhere.

Thank you. I think I have a pen from the same manufacturer. That detail is impressive.

Thank you and I like the sketches you post with your pens. I especially admire the Sheaffer Skyboy!
