    Default Texas Fountain Pen Co?

An obvious copy cat pen. The pen is marked on the nib with "Lucas Special -4-" The clip is marked with the word "Special". The push bar of the aerometric filler (looks similar to a Parker 21) is marked "Lucas". I have had the pen for several years now but I could never find anything on the Texas Fountain Pen Co.

As part of the Texan diaspora, I am intrigued by the pen company. I know of early 20th century "Lucas" fountain pens being made in Virginia, but I have only ever seen the Texas Fountain Pen Co logo on knock off Parker 51s.

I did find the Lucas Pen you mention via a google search and at first, I thought I had solved the mystery, but no. Unless the connection is real but not in an obvious way. There is a Lucas town in Texas and I tried to find a possible angle but could not find one.

The "Ltd" makes me wonder if it is even a US corporation.

I keep it as an example of how it is possible to make pens that don't work at all.
