Default What does your desk/work area look like? Do you keep your fountain pens on it?

I write this because today someone came into my office and just sat down and started handling all of my desktop items. They were completely fascinated by all of my clutter so I took a photo of it. I think they now believe I am a bit eccentric lol. It's a mixed bag with others. Some can't stand to hear my small collection of wind up travel alarm clocks tick tocking non-stop ( I love it!) and others like to write with my desktop fountain pens and feather quill. So I thought I would post a photo of my desktop just like it is. I have fountain pens in the photo so I thought this topic might fit here. I would be curious to see others work/desk areas. Anyone want to share?

I love the floor-to-ceiling window! My desk at college is too messy and uninteresting to deserve a photo.

Thank you! The weather here in North Texas looks like what is outside your window in your photo. No snow here:-). Thank you for the photo. What a very nice, neat and orderly desk!

This is my desk which is never, ever, ever this tidy-- but it was once and I took a picture.

My Ethan Allen desk from my husband's side of the family that I took over with penpalling, oh I mean... use for school.
I store no ink or pens in my desk! I keep it all on my top shelf in the closet away from small hands

Great desk. Yes, I'd say you are maybe a bit eccentric. I think this is a forum where that quality is recognized as rare and valuable. I miss having a wind-up travel alarm! May I ask where you got (or get) yours?

I love to see ink stains on or in an old desk. I grew up with ink-stained desks. It seems right.

Chi Town (Chicago connections?), you call your desk messy. Hahahahaha! ... It's just as well I don't have any pictures of mine. Actually, right now my work desk is a folding table, as our building is being renovated and we are in temporary quarters. Maybe I can take a picture of my new one in a couple of months; it will probably be hours and hours, maybe even a day or two, before I have it properly covered in heaps of chaos.

I don't have a home desk. Or rather, I have one in the basement that I can't get to. And I've inherited my dad's desk, which is a really nice one, but it's in storage until I can figure out (a) how to get here from the other end of the state and (b) where I can put it when I have it.

Thank you! I love my clocks. I have picked them up at various antique stores or estate sales. They are very inexpensive with the most expensive being $8. I love their loud ticking.

If I had jbb's desk, I'd fill every nook and cranny in minutes, and then promptly forget what's where.

Once in a while I find a pen in a drawer that I entirely don't remember. It's like getting free stuff.

No pix, but I have 2 desk pens + a cup/can of pens.
My wife has a desk pen at her desk also. She got spoiled by using my desk pens, always ready to use, just pull it out of the holder.
