    Default Flush between fillings?

Is it necessary to clean my pen between fillings with the same ink?

Many will say no but I say yes. When writing the friction builds up static and all sorts of gross crud will get stuck to the nib. Flushing and cleaning the pen before filling will ensure you don't contaminate your ink bottle and also that your pen flows smoothly and freely.

98% of the time I flush both the nib and the converter, even if I am using the same ink again. Fast and easy and just seems right to me.

I flush between fill ups. Never had an issue with crud in my ink or odd buildup on the nib.

I was intending to flush my Blue Studio but with the first suction of water the Noodler's Blue Eel still looked pretty intense that I decided to use this watery mixture as is.
It appears more intense than the Lamy Blue cartridges I've used. I wonder how many more dilutions it could stand ? Sort of homeopathic ink experiments.

Well, I would say yes. That is because my pens all tend to get a mini rest after they've been cleaned and sometimes it's the same ink that gets re-loaded into the pen and sometimes not, I just don't know ahead of time.
