Default Pilot Plumix dropper refill fountain pen?

I recently acquired a Pilot Plumix Medium nib fountain pen and after looking at it, I began to wonder about using it with an eye dropper instead of cartridges. Is this a good idea for this pen? What do I need to do to make it work well? Is silicone on the threads all that is needed?

    TIA,
    Sid

do a suction test before you try it. sometimes the butt end of the plumix isn't closed. I found out the hard way.

if you determine you have a good pen body (that will stick to your tongue if you suck some air out of it) grease up the threads with some silicone and go to town.

The plumix has a tiny hole in the body. You can't use it as an eyedropper.

Maybe I'll try some Superglue to close the tiny hole in the body and give it a go with some food dye colored water and see what happens.

Many people do use the Plumix as an eyedropper. Search it out and you'll get many results. I think that this is the main reason a lot of people purchase this pen. :-)

Epoxy plug on the hole, etc. For many, it works out well.
