Default 45 Fighter Red / Blue end caps

I understand that a quantity of 45 Flighters were made with both red and blue end caps to the barrel.
Has anybody one or both of these.
Does anyone actually know how many were manufactured and where.
I have never seen one other than on advertising material.
Assume (right or wrong) that these are somewhat rare.
Big fan of the 45 Flighter and am compiling a collection of them in both CT and DeLuxe.
    Regards.

No, not them. They are a model of the 45 Flighter DeLuxe.
The red / blue end capped are I believe the 45 Flighter CT.
    Regards.

Sorry, I am unable to help.

I don't own one despite having way too many Parker 45s.

There are some on here to die for. I don't see any coloured end caps apart from the Lady, but I'm sure some were issued. Personally, I would love to find a TX.

I suppose that one place they might ever show up is ebay?

I really really want a Harlequin.

    So 1960s.

But in several years of looking have never found a clean one that was affordable.

They are regularly on Ebay, in fact I believe there is one on there at the moment. Dear pen though.

I've picked a couple of these up at about 40% of this price from 'that' site - though I daresay that example might be a better one. Compared to many of the pens discussed here, that is at the affordable end of the spectrum. I guess they are more common in the UK?

You have been lucky then. I have to confess that I have been looking weekly for a couple years for a Harlequin on "that site" and have had zero luck. They are either way too much or flawed in some way, or on a rare occasion, I have been outbid. Just the way the cookie crumbles I guess. I love them. Luck of the draw I guess.

Thanks. That is in fact where I first saw these. Being almost addicted to 45`s I would absolutely adore owning these. I have never seen any for sale and bet they will be megs valuable.
    Regards.
