So, doing a quick and dirty calculation here, I get the median as 8 and the mean as 9.6.

Caveats: If you went back and forth between numbers of filled pens, I only counted you once for each number. If you gave a range, I counted you at the higher number. I may have missed a few folks. I may have made a few errors. And I definitely couldn't figure out a number from some more literary posts.

For myself, I would have hit the median, but I just wrote a pen dry and so am sitting modestly at 7.

Then I'm above average ... in self discipline ... not.

I am a mess with 12 inked pens and a desk which looks cluttered. I am going to tackle this pen cleaning and desk tidy ....I may create a pay it forward pile too.

I think I'm down to eight now...finally cleared out the Lamy ABC of the notorious (to me!) Aurora Blue.

BUT!!!!

I switched inks in my Sailor 1911 M with the Zoom nib! To Chesterfield Fire Opal, which is just the Orange Crush color I wanted. In that huge nib it's a lotta fun.

With the warm weather (104 F yesterday) my inked pens are dwindling from the usual 12. I have 8 inked now but I am trying to get down to two daily use pens and two review pens inked at any given time.

I was at 7, then I bought the new Monteverde Intima Gray Volcano and inked it with Noodlers Red Black. I also have a Noodlers Ebonite on the way from Gouletpens that should be here tomorrow.

Hate to admit I'm currently sitting at 13 (unlucky thirteen). I NEED to clean some...but we all know the difference between need and want.

With two new inks just a day or so away that number is likely to increase.

I've been trying very hard to work the number down from my high/usual 26. I mean its just ridiculous. I've managed to run dry and then clean 10 pens over the last two weeks so I'm down to 16 and then added the Noodler's Konrad ebonite feed that came today. But I am trying...really.

A quick note about the "unknown blue ink" used in the Pelikano:
It is loaded with an ink cartridge that I got quite some years ago by now.
All I do remember is that it was bought at a bookstore sale somewhere around Copenhagen, and that the ink cartridges was packed in a white nylon mesh/net thing, with a plastic doohickey used to keep the net closed, and a thick cardboard tag attached. I think there was 100 cartridges in the net bag.
Unfortunately that's all I remember about the cartridges, so if any of you guys out there recognise this, and can say anything about the ink brand, it will be much appreciated if you share that info.
