It's nearly £100 less than retail so, I would've thought so; but, of course, one could get the same pen in near mint unused condition as a late '70s or earlier vintage with a characterful and flexing nib for the about the same price, I suspect.

The only thing is that it's now the 'older' model, not the red gold version.

I too prefer red gold...
but they also have the platinum version on sale at a £100 reduction to retail;
