Default An Old Pen travels the Pacific Northwest

When it comes to using my pens, I have a simple rule. Enjoy it.

Just went back from a road trip where I took one fountain pen, one ink, and a stack of drawing paper cut to postcard-size. And here's what I came back with:

Yes, that old Conklin Endura did all the sketches, one for each day on the trip (roughly). I find that when I liberate myself from choices, I ended up enjoying using my pens (and the trip) a lot more.

If you're curious, I wrote a bit on the trip, explaining each of the sketch here. I promise, that is not a spammer's link.

Thanks for the trip --- and some unique views. Was hoping for a ferry view --- lots of them around there.

It was 40 years ago when I did my Vancouver city view image..

I spoke to you over in IG on the individual posts, but this is a nice summation, Will. Glad you had a good time.

and that when Truth and Error have fair Play, the former is always an overmatch for the latter."

Chrissy, the Canadian Lighthouse is my favorite along with the Seattle's Pike Place.

Since both of you like lighthouses
I use a service called Redbubble where I scan the sketch, do some post-processing, and upload it there.
So you can (or not, this is not in any shape or form a solicitation) order the postcard from this link.

They usually have discounts for orders more than one item, they have fun stickers etc. And the print quality is excellent.

Later this month I'll also order some of the sketches as postcards and bring them to the Dallas Pen Show in September for my table.

You reminded me that due to the hectic schedule during the road trip, I didn't get a chance to sample the coffee-brewing scene there other than visiting the Starbucks Reserve in Seattle (that was something else). I was recommended Caffe Ladro by my friend as a local.
