Changing colour with the season.

Morning all,
Yesterday I changed the ink in several of my pens, and had done a couple more over the previous week. This morning however I noticed that the colours had all got brighter and more vivid, out were the blues browns and dark green shades, and in were a bright green and a couple of turquoise inks.
Nothing unusual there i suppose, but I did wonder if subconsciously I had brightened up my pallet to match the improving weather.
Has anyone else noticed that they have done something similar?

I use a mix of dark, and definitely vivid colors. I switch around all the time. I do tend to like Diamine-Autumn Oak in the fall or winter though. Sometimes I'm on a brighter color kick, and that helps to lighten my mood as well. I like colors that are dark enough to write with in dim light. I often take notes in front of the computer in the evening, with a dim lamp on. So a pale color is too hard for me to see.

Im Not a big fan light coloured ink, I'm a fan of orange, but orange inks always seem to light for me

Diamine-Sunset or KWZ-Grapefruit are reddish orange, and NOT too light for me. The only ink color that I am not a big fan of is straight up red. I have a 30ml bottle of Diamine-Wild Strawberry. I'd like to get a 30ml bottle of Red Dragon. The Mont Blanc-Velvet Red looks interesting. Other than that I have most of the other color groups.

I do it every season and I'm quite conscious of it. I like my dark orange Winter Persimmon and Evening Cicada green in Fall, Lamy Dark Lilac and Smoky Quartz in Winter, various pinks and Diamine Meadow in Spring, and Sheaffer Peacock and intense fuschia colors for Summer.
