    Default Patrick Swayze

Items from the estate of the late great Patrick Swayze are being auctioned on 28th April by Juliens Auctions in Los Angeles. It seems he had some very nice pens.

Ballpoints on the bottom and some on top, but the top row has, in order, a Vacumatic, an Omas and a Pelikan.

What's the one second from the right on the bottom? It looks like tarnished silver.

And may be paired with the one on the far left bottom.

It doesn't say anything more in the listing than what has been surmised here. Just looked.

Looks like Mr Swayze liked Cross ballpoints, and wooden kit pens. An eclectic ensemble.

    Feel so sad...

Sad for his brand choice? Or sad that he has left this world?
Where in Sydney are you from? I stayed in Manly for 3 months when I went to Australia, still miss the 10 buck steaks you could buy on the corso ( forget the spelling) and having a tan.

I know nothing about auctions. Looks like all the pens are to be sold as a single item.

Going through the catalog was depressing. Made me feel like a hyena upon the carcass of a great lion. Don't think I'll do something like that again.

The box is worth more than the pens.

As the Omas and Pelikan together are possibly worth close to the lower end of the evaluation, I take it you recognise the box as a known expensive make ?

Nope but it at least appears well made.

I just went through the entire Swayze auction catalog and they have some really nice items besides the pens.

Well worth the time to browse through it.

Some nice wrist candy there, too, especially the Bulgari chronograph. That would match up nicely with my black and rose gold MB 146.

He did seem like a genuinely decent guy. And point break was a film I loved in my youth.
