Oh I forgot about the Wing Sung 698 (aka Wing S 698). I want the 2017 version. I'm hoping Vanness will stock them soon. I saw that Lisa is thinking about selling that brand.

I heard good things about this Wing Sung model.
If Mike and Lisa would stock them, I'll buy two just to mess around with different nibs.

The jinhao 992 has caught my attention, especially for less than £2 a pop.

I'd missed that - tend to tune out on Jinhaos on the assumption that it'll be yet another metal pen. Didn't realise they'd also jumped on the plastics bandwagon. They look pretty good, and as you say, at the price, why not?

Indeed, nibs are usually changeable in jinhao pens too. Which is nice.

Just ordered a trio of inks from Birmingham Pen Co. Anxiously awaiting their arrival.

I've gradually become intrigued with the new version of the Franklin-Christoph model 25 "Eclipse" which is now even more minimalist than its predecessor, using an internally mounted clip rather than a ring-mounted one and no more color band on the barrel. This could easily replace any Lamy for me. I'm not sure if it can now be eyedroppered (they discouraged that in the old "Eclipse"). I can just see that in my hand with an 18k Masuyama Fine Cursive Italic nib...
Addendum: just found out that eyedropper use is still ruled out due to the long grip section.

I'm not considering any new pens at the moment, as I'm realizing just how many really excellent ones I already have. Mind you, a lucky vintage find at a flea market or yard sale would still be acceptable.

But I am looking at a couple of Sailor Jentle inks that I don't have yet, Miruai and Yama-dori. I don't care much for flashy ink colors, but I like ones that are subtly different, ones that make observant people look twice. I have these on my wish list at Jet Pens, and will probably get around to ordering soon.

I'm interested in finding some WET inks for use in my Nemosine Singularities & a Sheening ink for my newest acquisition, a TWSBI Diamond 580. I'm in honeymoon mode with that pen...
I have a tight budget; therefore, it looks like I'm going to need to get some micromesh for my starter pens.

Pens that have recommended themselves to me this year:

Pelikan m400 brown tortoise SE with broad italic nib. The nib squeaks, rather oddly, but it is such a swooshy, lovely, wet nib to use, a bit of bounce, really lovely cursive italic. I don't try to do calligraphy with it but it's wonderful for just making all my writing that little bit nicer.

Vintage French - Stylomine 303 'mastodonte' - I'm more of a Bayard girl, but the Stylomine's big bones, heft, and off-piste filling system (an accordion sac with a glass top, so you can watch it fill) have got me interested. The nib, though, isn't much to write home about.

and yet another Edison Collier. I never fall out of love with these pens.

Not so much new pens but nibs for my current collection have caught my interest.

I'm about to purchase a M800 EF nib and I have a Lamy 2000 EF on the way to compliment my L2k M.

As a fountain pen newbie, pretty much all pens and inks have caught my attention recently. But, as a low budget newbie, my brand new Noodler's Ahab pen and my new Noodler's Dostoyevsky ink and 54th Massachusetts ink have my attention. I really like the way those inks look together on the same page. I find them to look relaxed, and easy on the eyes.

I did a lot of research before buying the Ahab and I expected to spend hours of frustrating flushing, heat setting, feed and nib repositioning and tweaking....but it writes flawlessly (to my newbie standards) right out of the box.

So I am a happy newbie with my new Ahab, Dostoyevsky, and 54th Mass.

The ASC Studio with a steel nib.

"When Armando Simoni Club began back in 2016, it was born from a single idea – to offer fountain pen lovers what they really longed for in a pen: beautiful celluloid material, excellent craftsmanship, unmistakable quality and engineering.
ASC Studio fountain pens come with a choice of gold or rhodium trim in the following colors:Green Guatemala, Yellow Pinnacle, Blue Pinnacle, Arlecchino, Blue Coral, Blue Glacier, and Brown Antelope"

Anybody have one? If so, how do you like it?

Since Dr. Brown posted about Titan Pens, I have been obsessed with 3D printed pens. I've known about them for some time but did not pursue the idea since I did not have access to a 3D printer. Well, that's changed and so I have been trying to teach myself how to 3D print a fountain pen. I have downloaded some files and am trying to expand on the designs I have found but have not fully committed yet.
