    Default ~FS~ Vintage Pens - Early Pilot VP - Parker - Sheaffer's - Conklin +

    Hi all,

Here are 4 pens and a couple of pencils, fresh from my workbench. All of the pens are ready to fill with ink and use.

If you intend to make a purchase, please read "Rules, shipping,
etcetera" at the bottom of this post.

Pen #1.1966 Pilot Vanishing Point. This is an early version of the pen and, I believe, the successor to the 1964 twist action Pilot Capless. To advance and retract the nib, you press the end button on the opposite end of the pen from the nib and clip. The pen was made before the later faceted version, that was produced by Namiki. The barrel on this pen is round. There is no damage on the pen to report. The nib is a smooth writing Extra Fine 14K/.585. The date code stamped on the nib is 4.66, indicating it was made in 1966. The pen measures 5 9/16 inches or 14.1 cm. It is about 1/4 inch longer than my two 1990's V.P.'s that were made by Namiki. It has two short cartridges in it, inside the cover tube, and I do not know if converters were made for these. The overall condition of the pen is Excellent and an outstanding example.

    see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

    2. circa 1949 Sheaffer's Tuckaway set in burgundy and stainless steel with gold filled cap and in the original clam shell box. The set saw very little use. The only damage I found is a scratch on the backside of the cap and across the gold filled band. The pencil is working properly and the eraser has not been used. The ink sac and barrel seal have been replaced, the pen takes up and expels ink as it should. The nib is a smooth writing Fine two tone 14K Lifetime Triumph. The overall condition of the pen and pencil is Excellent.

    see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

    3. 1932 Conklin Nozac oversize (Listed Separately)

    4. Parker 61 in black with lined gold filled cap. This pen is in very nice condition, with no wear, no brassing, no dents, etc. to the cap. It has an Extra Fine 14K nib with nice flow. It has a typical 61 capillary fill system. The gold filled cap has a 6 line pattern. The overall condition is Excellent.

    5. 1947 Parker VS in brown with Lustraloy cap. These are button fill pens with an aluminum button, similar to the fill buttons on English made Parker AF pens. The cap is dent free and has a few typical minor scratches and micro scratches from normal use. The barrel also has a few little scratches. The nib is an open style. The cap slides on and off just like a Parker 51. The nib is a smooth Extra Fine 14K and has nice flow. Capped the pen measures 5 1/2 inches or 14.0 cm. It is a decent useable example of a Parker VS.

Price $120.00 shipping with insurance included in the U.S. Foreign shipping
    see "Rules, Shipping, Etc." below.

    6. Fancy European silver pencil in .835 coin silver. The pencil is hex shaped and has a floral pattern on the barrel and crown. The crown has some dents, and the barrel has some scratches. The clip is what is called a shovel or spoon type. The mechanism is nearly identical to 1920's Wahl Eversharp. The pencil does not have any leads, but seems to be functioning properly. The lead diameter would be slightly smaller than standard .046" or 1.18 mm Eversharp, Parker, Sheaffer's, Scripto, etc. If you want the pencil and want to use it, you could twist my arm and I would sand down a couple of leads to the right diameter. I don't know for sure, but this pencil looks like it might have been made by Fend, who also made metal overlays, in the early days, for Montblanc.

    Rules, Shipping, Etc.

The usual rules apply, the person sending the first e-mail on an item
~stating intent to purchase~ gets the item. I will give you 5 days to
decide if you like the pen or not. I prefer payment by PayPal but also
accept checks or money orders in USD. I can only accept payment by
PayPal from countries outside the U.S. I ship worldwide, so
    international customers are always welcome.

Prices are post paid in the U.S., and will be shipped with a tracking
number and insurance. I normally ship inside the U.S. by U.S.
Postal Service Priority Mail. I can also ship to other countries by
Priority Mail, but I prefer to ship by Express International Mail. I
have to charge $20.00 to $30.00 USD extra by Express International
Mail, depending on which country the item will be sent to, but it can
be insured and can usually be tracked online.

Return Policy: I will always allow pens, or other items, to be
returned as long as it is not for a frivolous reason and the item is
returned in the same condition as when it was shipped from here. If
there should be a problem I would prefer the chance to fix the problem
or replace the item, when and if possible. Otherwise a full refund
will be offered. If you find a problem and choose to send the item
(pen, mechanical pencil, etc.) to someone else to be corrected, I will
not be responsible for any other problems.

All pens have been restored inside and outside, nibs adjusted and
smoothed, when necessary, clips tightened, etc. I give a lot of
attention to minute details on a pen, that some would not notice. All
pens and pencils will be in good working condition unless noted
otherwise. The pens have been ink tested. I restore the pens I sell,
as if they were going into my personal pen collection.

    Happy penning!
