1. Finding out I was nominated for NASA attorney of the year, even though I didn't win, through a great letter from the General Counsel of the agency.
2. Getting my recently ordered haul from Goulet, including three ink colors that are new to me from three different brands I have never used.
3. Getting my Delta Fusion 82.

Bonus: TWO dead heats in a row at the racetrack, one involving an old favorite of mine.

1. An olive oil bottle label I designed around a pen and ink sketch (TWSBI mini EF, Noodler's Dark Matter) of their olive orchard went to the printer.

2. My position as an architectural drafter dried up a couple of months ago, a friend called, he owns and operates a kennel I designed a decade ago, standing in front of his desk was a new client, an Architect, who, in casual conversation mentions, he is looking for a drafter. We'll see!

3. I'm off to meet with a Plein Aire painting group this morning to lose myself in art in a historic Chinese town on the Sacramento delta. Thinking oils on canvas with a knife this time.

I know these events seem to span two days but I'm taking my "day" out of the middle. One can do that when one is an unemployed bum.

1. Fried squash blossoms and prosecco for lunch! Mmm!
2. An entire day to relax and enjoy and savor.
3. Cleaning out some pens; inking an old favorite.

1. Having a good last day as a truck driver, complete with sweet colleagues and good food for lunch - fried chicken drumsticks, boiled potatoes, salads, the works.
2. The repaired cap for my Sailor 1911 arrived today, thanks to a sweet neighbour who accepted the parcel for me while I was away.
3. Starting work as a photo/video/sound editor tomorrow - which is my thing, I am so looking forward to this! *happy bouncing about*

2. I almost got rid of some old paper in the workshop but then realized it has a cool watermark and is nice to write on.
3. My iron gall ink is momentarily at the perfect consistency.

1. My son, who I coach, pitches complete game 1-hitter
2. He comes to bat in the bottom of the last inning with two outs and hits a 3-run walk-off home run to win the game and clinch first place
3. Man, I don't need a third thing!
