I have attached a picture of my espresso machine to the thread. It has held up remarkably well for 16 years. I have only had to replace the o-rings which is regular maintenance. You should pull out the La Pavoni and use it. It requires a little trial and error but definitely worth it when you pull good shots. If you need any help, pm and I can help you further with getting a good shot out of the Pavoni.

Nice set up. Is that a Reg Barber tamper? Where did you purchase your beans?

I've got a Rocket Giotto and a Macap MC4 grinder as my setup. Only a few years old, so I don't have the experience of time with my machine yet. I used to have the Sylvia, but that was too tempermental. You should go on CoffeeGeek dot com. Yes, there are lots of geeks in all manners out there!!

Six months ago I had a triple bypass heart surgery.

Tuesday, we hiked in our favorite State Park hiking the Waterfall Loop. It was the first time in over a year that I was able to hike it with out total exhaustion.
SF Giants are in 1st.

You have a good eye. It is a Reg Barber tamper. I sent off my basket for him to custom fit one of his tampers. It was one of my best investments as far as improving my espresso shots. If you do not have a good tamper, I would suggest sending off your coffee basket and have him make you one. He does beautiful wood work.

I roast my own coffee. I've been roasting about 14 years now. Before I had kids, I use to make a vacuum pot of coffee before going to work. Now, I make coffee in an automatic machine.

One day I would like have a Mcap grinder. I have heard that the Sylvia is temperamental. I am familiar with coffee geeks. I only have so much time for forums and enjoy the pen forum. I was a member at coffee geeks a long time ago.

I have never tried to sew a pillowcase out of towels but it sounds like a good idea. At one time, I enjoyed cross stitching and sewing. I may take it up again later in life after my children are older. I found it very relaxing.

1. Copa del Rey. Finally, after 14 years, we (Atlético de madrid) beat the eternal enemy.

1. Had a load of fun in Wickford RI this weekend sailing a 505 with my dad. Today the wind was gusting over 20kts at times, and I had SOOOO much fun doing a 3 sail screaming reach. Capsize happened both days as well, but so it goes.
