Macduff
Then you can say 'Lead on MacDuff' when it is time for a walk.

I cooked a pumpkin stew with bacon, peas, carrots, sweetcorn, mushrooms and a sprinkling of dried shrimp. Of course it wouldn't be a stew without dumplings! [I have peasant tastes when it comes to food]
It's late autumn (technically winter) but the sun was shining and that was just fine.
Best of all, after 9 weeks in isolation, I had my first hug from a friend. It was quite a moment.
1. New bathroom fitted today, looks great, Contractors were amazing but how a hard working man can go all day, for three days, without food and many cups of tea is beyond me, trouble was I didn't want to eat either. Today is catch up day! As the water has been off that includes dishwashing, laundry and food.
2. Finishing off the fine details like doorstops and even they are going well, love the flooring they put down, it looks like grey oak but is actualy vinyl planks that click together,
3. I am not usually one for art in a bathroom but I have found something in my collection that is perfect, picking up the colour of the floor and walls.
1. Golf is back.
2. Grillin' in the rain.
3. Ink fading from my saturated fingernail.
My other pen is a Montblanc.
And my other blog is a tumblr!
And my latest ebook, for spooky wintery reading:

1)Nice great coffee!
2)Few morning rituals to charge me up and got a short Sun exposure.
3) Sat down to do some calligraphy/ writing exercise.
Down to the house I'm restoring now that we're actually allowed to go there!
1. My first real coffee, in a cafe, for nearly three months
2. The new window bottom rail I made fitted well despite the fact, because of lockdown, I had to make it 300 km away so chance to check the fit before finishing it
3. The girl in the bakery we use who is just *such* a big smiler and all sunshine (and the rum babas she sold us)
It's Fathers Day in the USA (and the UK?).
- My son is here.
- He gave me a vintage 1948 travelogue. I enjoy period travel books and have a collection of WPA guides.
- Fathers Day lunch featured my favorite fish (though I cooked it).

It is Father’s Day in NL too:
1. All kids at the dinner table
2. Presents: selfmade yoghurt/ice cake, (too expensive) bottle of Bordeaux, voucher for joint night out
3. Prior to that: re-read Animal Farm with prologue and afterword
(4. Afterwards: watching youtube clips on the making of Hakase fountain pens with my youngest one - she was impressed)
I feel privileged and fulfilled and in-awe with them, and overall humble and happy.

Today was beautiful, and I was off!
Enough gladiolus in bloom to make a vase for the table.
It’s one day off before 2 days on, and it seemed to be a long day, instead of the usual blink👍🏻
