Bet they do if you got close enough. Ruddy seagulls have been hanging round here recently, and I swear it's because they're checking out the coastal towns and meeting back up in the middle (here) to ask each other if any of them's seen anyone eating chips or a pasty. Must be playing havoc with their diet not having any tourists to mug. Anyway, had to look up kielbasa sausages, so learnt something there. Rather surprised as I sort of assumed they'd be fishy!

The honey snap biscuits sound delish.

1.) Took a walk up the street to a local park. There was a loon on the large pond there.

2.) After two days of rain, our peas and onions are sprouting.

3.) Began to journal the virus pandemic as it affects us. It requires a rather extensive backstory. What fun, factorial

Call from a usually non-communicative cousin this evening, and my aunt and uncle's sheltered housing/care home remains virus-free, as are all her siblings' families.

Thought how lucky we were to be able to feast on tomatoes and beetroot from the UK, sugar snap peas from Egypt, and courgettes from Spain. And that I didn't have to make the quiche to go with them!

Finally had confirmation that the wine ordered for my dad has "officially" been lost instead of just lost lost, and it's being re-sent with a bonus bottle to make up for the delay.

Bonus item: Glad we have this thread in amongst the insanity. It's helpful to make the effort to appreciate the good things, even though every post from Sailor makes me hungry...

Here you are! This makes more than merely cheese biscuits, but we haven't tried the other recipes yet.

    Two-ingredient drop biscuits.

I added a teaspoon of sugar to cut down on the heavy sourdough taste.

I admit I was scratching my head trying to figure out how you were making biscuits with only two ingredients. I kept thinking: you need flour, a leavening agent, a shortening/fat, and a liquid. Self-rising flour and yogurt combines those four into two. Not a bad idea.

That's fantastic! Thanks so much, SK. With my wife and daughter both at home 24/7 (and craving carbs most of the time), I'm cooking a lot more and more often. This will definitely help provide some variety.

It's not quite the same as the start of the domestic cricket season, but enjoyed the re-broadcast of TMS from the fourth day of the third test from last year. Nothing says summer like Test Match Special.

The power going out multiple times this afternoon prevented me putting my feet up and wasting time watching the box, so made some chocolate Easter nests instead.

J-bar arrived for the restoration of the Esterbrook Dollar. Just hope I ordered the correct size.

    1. Awesome weather outside. Usually I am not into sunny weather but today it fits my mood perfectly.
    2. Won the first giveaway I have ever taken part in. Quite unexpectedly! Got great CS GO skins https://skin.club/en/cases/free-case
    3. At last got the time to tidy up my flat. Postponed it constantly but then put myself together and did it. Now feel like a hero

I have started painting my kitchen's cupboards -

    It is a beautiful sunny day;

Finished a book, and while reading had my cats and dogs, sound asleep, on the bed with me. Bliss!!!!

    1. Managed to get two coats of primer over the Ancient Terra Cotta Mud color on our living room walls. AND finally settled on the Perfect Paint Color.

    2. Ordered fabric with which to make coordinating draperies.

    3. Best for last: my Hand Pan Drum in B minor arrived Monday and I’ve been playing it non-stop when I can. Love. This. Instrument.

    Best news in just forever.

1.The breeder I’ve been waiting on since last November finally has a Scottish Terrier puppy for me.

    2. He should be ready to come home by my birthday in July.

    3. Starting the looong list of puppy names. Suggestions welcome!
