Default Sailor 1911 with Music Nib Work by Mike Masuyama

Thanks to dcpritch for lending me his pen for the review. It has been a pleasure and a joy to be able to sample the work of one of the master nib wizards in the industry. The full set of images can be found on my blog.

This post makes me really miss my Sailor music nib. I sold mine but now I don't remember why. I have been thinking ever since that I need to replace it.

Great review. Love my Sailor music nib even without Mike's additional magic.

Thank you both. I'll have Greg Minuskin's modified music nib review up soon. Already did the stock Sailor music nib review. Then a three way comparison.

I love the idea of a comparison of the three nibs!

KI thanks for another imformative review. Great close ups of the nib on your blog. The Sailor pen has that timeless classic old fashioned fountain pen look about it The nibs appears to give a nice style to your cursive writing.
So is idea of this modified music nib to create a flexible stub nib ?

Hey where has old Darth gone?
Has he been replaced by a bobblehead of himself who needs a bobblehead stormtrooper for support.

The stock music nib does not have as much definition in the line variation. It is more apparent when you see the writing samples compared side by side. It is a springy nib not what I would call flex.

Darth is taking a break. I found those bobble heads at my local B&N and could not resist. I just want to vary it up a little without totally dropping the Darth theme.
