    Question Review: Diamine Teal

Another ink from my quest for the blue-black.

Teal is a color that elicits a violent reaction in many people, but I think it has a place in the world.

This Diamine Teal is more dark green than green-blue, not a color I'm crazy for.
I got it in a Diamine sampler from Birmingham pen for free, so no complains.
I loaded the ink into my good-ol' Parker 45 (F) and the ink feels "dry", which made me slow down to avoid having missing lines in my horrible handwriting... maybe not such a bad thing.
Drying times are quick and flow and lubrication are on the dry side.

Looking back, the color on the screen is not very accurate
After scanning again, I used the color picker (https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp) to look at it
It seems to be #60969f familyDiamine Teal Gradient

This was my experience too - Diamine Teal was my first bottled ink and one I was really excited about, but it's both drier and greener than I expected. As you say, much greener than your scan suggests. I now end up mixing it 50/50ish with Diamine Denim in a pocket pen - ends up a sort-of Shin-Kai colour (Shin-Kai while dry, not wet).

It would probably do well in a Pelikan pen, from what I hear they are wet writers.

I really like Teal. I think it's a great everyday ink that's different enough to be interesting without being in any way brash or gaudy. The first time I wrote with it, I knew it was going to be an ink I'll always want a bottle of.
