In order to keep things interesting, any collection of these should be acquired in the order that they'd be cleared from a snooker table...

I am in an Italian phase. I really drool over Aurora and Omas, vintage or modern. Alas the budget is not there.

Otherwise, I have a would-be-nice-to-find list, all vintage: vermeil Parker 75 and Parker 51 Flighter.

Just saw a A88 with chrome cap and flex nib listed on that other fountain pen site. Ugh. I really hope the guy wants a trade!!!

I meant to quote Bogon about the Waterman #7s here. Because the colour coding seems to match snooker balls. Why is it that the most interesting nibs are bue pink and black? (The last ones, for those who don't know the game).
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

So, the suggestion to list the pens on your wish list in the order in which you would clear the balls from a snooker table.

I don't dare make a list of all of the pens on my wish list. I do not play snooker so these are not in snooker order. Most are vintage, such as a red ripple Waterman, a Mabie Todd, a Conklin crescent filler, various Sheaffers and Parkers, also lusting after some "new" Estie nibs. For modern, I would also like a Pilot VP, a TWSBI Micarta (version 2) a Nakaya Briarwood,.... The list is embarrassingly long and embarrassingly unattainable due to lack of funds, but it is nice to wish!

Snooker order: Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink, Black. The White Ideal No 7 is known to have existed, but there are no known examples today, so I don't think I will ever own a cue ball for my set.

For right now, I am looking at just replacing pens I used to have, and that happen to hold the top two spots in the "top five" list haha. So I am fund raising, saving pennies, and will probably sell bodily fluids for:

    1: Pelikan 400NN Tortoise, Semi-Flex Med nib
2: Pelikan M600, Medium Stub (By Pendleton Brown)

I highly reccomend the 1st generation pens...they look better (IMO) and hold more ink. Just look around on ebay for a standard or slender model and you'll probably be able to get one for under $150.

For a while now, a Pilot Custom 823, fine or medium nib. However, for some reason I always purchase a different pen when it comes time. It's either a special sale this, or limited edition that, or a rare occasion big purchase (like a birthday) that allows me to reach higher. So the 823 is still on the wish list. Wonder if it will prove to be a better companion than the sale, limited, and expensive pens I've bought in between.
