Dream Pens: I plan on all of these being "earned" by merit of some kind:
For example, number 1 is for when I become tenured as a high school/college teacher/professor
Others might be for writing books, or for Ph.D completion, etc.

    1. Yard-o-Led Viceroy (not sure on size or design)
    2. Montblanc no.20 WWII era in black
    3. Montblanc 146, vintage with Silver cap bands
    4. Pelikan mxx5, blue stripes with rhodium trim
    5. Omas 360, older triangular barrel, section, cap.
    6. Parker Mandarin Red Jr/Sr, doesn't matter to me
    7. Parker Mandarin Yellow Jr/Sr, also doesn't matter to me

    Something cheap and reliable:
    1. Lamy Vista, EF nib ($20)
    2. Nussbaum Pen Co, Jon Ross, Black Cherry ($45)

    And something a bit fancy:
    3. Namiki Vanishing Point Raden stipes (best price I can find $390)
    4. Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche Chevron (best price I can find $310-ish)

I don't think I have enough pen budget before 2014 to buy the last two... besides, I'm not sure if they are worth the asking prices. But I like them!!!

I have one and a half grail pens...

A Sheaffer oversize Balance with a medium lifetime nib and mother of pearl chips in the barrel, and a Canadian flex fine nib and feed (two tone preferred) for my Third Gen blue Vac Major.

Of course, this list can change at any time...

I tried a few Sailor nibs today and fell in love with the 21K medium.
I usually prefer a Japanese fine nib, so I've never tried a medium before. As it turned out, the 21K medium nib I tested is considerably softer than the 21K fine nib. It was so beautiful I felt I was on clouds!

Pro Gear is now at the top of my Want List, moving everything else down a notch.

That's great! Where/how did you get the opportunity to try out some Sailor nibs?

Not the current Van Gogh, but a different range that Visconti did years ago. I think the musk green is the most attractive, for me anyway.

I mostly prefer gold nibs (old ones had them and new range have steel nibs), and I'm not a big fan of the magnetic closure.

The self portrait's colours are very enticing though...

I have 3 on my want list, but it is more of a dream list:

    - Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronz
    - Graf von Faber-Castell Intuition Platino Pernambuco
    - Montblanc Agatha Christie

What I really want to get is vintage flex. I have said that a few times.
I say it will be my next purchase, but so far I have always ended up getting something else.

    Edison Nouveau Premiere LE Macassar.
    A nice Sheaffer Balance.
    Lamy Studio.
FC desk pen, not sure about size.

These are the pens I can see myself affording in the foreseeable future. Beyond that there is the usual array of fancy nakayas, viscontis. Deltas, pelikans, vintage mont blancs, gvfc's...

The Edison is happening, but I'm going to use the entire length of the buying period to think about it properly.

"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

I've probably posted to this thread before, but tonight I was thinking that I like the looks of an Edison pneumatic pen, a Pelikan m800, and a Noodler's Acrylic pen in "Forbidden City" colors.

My pen buying habit has slowed way, way down. I still want to pick up a Pelikan M800 tortoise before they're all gone (the torty will probably be my final pen-related purchase of the year). A Nakaya of some sort in Ao-tamenuri is also on the must-have list, but I'm waiting for a special occasion or maybe a pen show where I can buy it in person. Other than those two, I wouldn't mind adding a CONID Bulkfiller to my collection and the Edison double-nibbed pen is tempting, too, not to mention an urushi Edison, but I don't really need those. At this point, I'm more interested in paring down my collection than adding to it but there are always new pens to want. I am happy with and thankful for what I have, and I find this slowing down much more enjoyable than the mad rush to acquire.

The top spot on my want list gets usurped fairly regularly even though the rest of top 5 remains rather stable.

At the moment, I'm thinking about vintage flexi for the top of the list. Then again, the Parker Vac I'm waiting for supposedly has a semi-flex nib. I should wait for its arrival first...
