As I am new here I am very conscious of ‘ hogging ‘ this forum section
Have at least 2 or 3 more questions I would wish to ask, I was hoping I could just fill in amongst the other posts.
That does not appear to be possible at present.
From my research notes and books I am beginning to think Parker sold this pencil in both in sets - 51 & 61/65.
My reasoning is the outer case sleeve is only marked ‘ Insignia Pencil ‘ the box is the usual Early 1970’s Parker black plastic case with brown interior.
I have no doubt whatsoever this pen was bought exactly as I have mentioned.
My next question is if you look at the photography of a P45 CT pencil the cap is identical and fits on the gold pencil.
( I have broken the blue one down to look at the construction of it )
The problem is that this gold pencil does not have any inner metal or plastic sleeve to grip the lower section.
I am certain it has not just been physically removed from the cap - is as it was made.
I am beginning to think that this pencil had an inner sleeve that has come detached at sometime and was lost.
Any comments, corrections or just thoughts are greatly appreciated.
nb - Has anyone looked at Chatbox ?
It always makes me smile - what a clever platform to have on a forum.
