Default Two tone nib on a Stressemann

Would it ruin the look if I switched to a two tone?

Since the pen can be ordered (at least what I can see) with both the two tone and the single silver tone as an option. I think it is just a matter of preference to you. If you are not going to be happy with the look, then it would ruin it. If you are just trying to make it look original-- Everyplace I look offers both.

Interesting, I have not seen a single retailer that offers Stresseman with two tone nib. As far as I know, Pelikan did not intend to sell Stresseman with two tone nibs - not to be confused with the M805 blue, which did indeed come with either two tone or single tone nib.

I have both nibs and much prefer the rhodinated one on Stresseman.
