FS: Parker Geometric "Toothbrush" (grey) | Sheaffer Balance (grey & red vein)
1. 1939 Parker Duofold Geometric "Toothbrush" (grey, full-sized, npt, EF semi-flex nib, button filler): For ages I searched for a perfect example of this pen. If you're in the same boat, you'll know that Duofold Geometrics seldom crop up in the usual places, having been manufactured for only 2 years (1939-40). You'll also know that unlike green and brown, grey is extremely prone to discoloration and well nigh impossible to find, well . . . grey. Heck, even textbook examples show a marked color disparity between the cap and barrel: https://parkerpens.net/geometric.html So after hunting a clean grey pen for some time, luck brought me two in the span of a year. Both have comparable color, but the one I'm letting go of today has a notable flaw that has me hanging on to the other. Description/Condition: This is the full-sized model, measuring 5 1/16" capped and a hair under 6" posted. Features a 14k semi-flex "Parker Pen" nib, which lays down a smooth and consistent EF line that flexes to F/M under pressure. Button filler has been fully restored in the last 6 months with genuine silicone sac from David Nishimura installed to preserve the color - guaranteed to fill and write as designed. Condition is excellent. Color is even across the cap and the barrel. No chips, cracks, bent/misaligned tines, or threading issues. Nickel plated trim is free of brassing except for the edges to the top of the clip. But the plating does have micro-scratching that has dulled some of its original luster. N.B. The only major flaw is a subtle spot on the barrel (depicted in the 4th photo) where it appears that someone may have removed an engraving. I see no cuts, scrapes, or scratches, but there is a tangible (if near invisible) impression and shift in color there if you're searching for it. This issue has been factored into the price of an otherwise outstanding example of this pen.

2. Sheaffer Balance (#3: long slender, grey & red vein, npt, lever filler): Measures 5 3/8" capped and a hair under 6" posted. Proper 14k semi-flex Sheaffer's #3 nib lays down a smooth and consistent EF line. Fully restored in the last 6 months with genuine silicone sac from David Nishimura installed to preserve the color - guaranteed to fill and write as designed. Color is even across the cap and the barrel. No chips, cracks, bent/misaligned tines, or threading issues. Nickel plated trim is better than most, but has some microscratches and high-point wear in spots (see photos). A solid writer and a beautiful pen to behold, the red veins being quite striking in person.
