I am located just east of Toronto.
I have been using fountain pens as long as I can remember, because my father and grandfather used them. I still have my father's Parker 75.
I am also a collector of jazz music (CD's & vinyl) and associate my passion for pens with jazz music of the 50"s and 60's. My passion is for celluloid fountain pens from Italy. I marvel at the finishes and the craftsmanship that goes into making them.
My top 5 favourite daily pens are Montegrappa Extra (midnight blue/M), Montegrappa Otto (shin lines/B) , Visconti Cosmopolitan (green celluloid/stub), Omas Arte Italiana (arco/M), and Omas Bologna (royale blue/stub) - the Bologna was my very first Italian pen. I purchased it at a pen show from John Mottishaw and it has an amazing nib - thank's to John for getting me addicted to celluloid (it's a sickness lol).
Next year, I hope to attend the Washington DC Show.
I look forward to this space.
Cheers,
