Default Removing Piston from 2008 Omas Paragon

The piston on my 2008 Omas Paragon works, but wow is it hard to manipulate. It seems like it could benefit from a little silicon grease. When I unscrew the cap it looks like I could stick a wrench in and unscrew it (a la Pelikan, TWSBI, et al.), but not sure what the procedure is (or if the prudent thing to do is to simply leave it be).

    Thanks!

You definitely can't stick a wrench in and unscrew it.

Is it a Paragon with metal section or plastic section? There are differences in the way you can access the piston.

This is a metal section. It's actually a limited edition with a sterling section, but I'm assuming it's going to be mechanically the same as a metal (chrome, etc) section.

    Thank you for your response

Is there a tutorial for an Omas Paragon with a plastic section?

None of the "new-style" Paragons have them, although the Milords do. I made a video tutorial on piston removal/greasing a number of years ago for the old-style Paragon (/Milord/Dama/Ogiva). I'll add the link when I find it, although I was quite a bit less knowledgeable about pens then...

edit: Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q-z_GAQVfo&t=3s It has mostly correct information. The stuff about factory setup is wrong, as are a few other things.
