FS: Vintage Conklin Nozac Senior V-Line

1930s Conklin Nozac Senior V-Line (black, piston filler, GPT, 14k EF Cushion Point nib). Measures 5 5/16” capped. This is the largest, 14-sided, Oversized/Senior model, corresponding to the 7,000W size (but without the word gauge markings). Piston filler with huge ink capacity. Visulated barrel to view ink level with herringbone pattern. Large, proper, 14k Cushion Point nib is very firm, laying down smooth, and consistent EF line. The stubbish profile with plenty of tipping material, which I’ve seen now and again on Nozacs, leads me to wonder if Conklin didn’t specially design these as manifold nibs.
Condition: Cleaned and fully restored with piston filler outfitted with new O-rings from David Nishimura. Guaranteed to hold a full barrel of ink and operate smoothly without leaks. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, personal engravings, bent or misaligned tines, missing/mismatched parts, or threading problems. Smooth and lustrous finish to the surface of the celluloid. No brassing to the trim discernible to the naked eye, but I was able to spot a thin sliver to the very edge/bottom of the cap band around about 1/4 of it under magnification (zoom into 2nd photo). Transparency is excellent, but a bit ambered in color (see 4th photo). Fully legible imprint (see 5th photo). Nibble marks present on all sides of the blind cap, but none on the barrel. A great writer, capacious filler, and beautiful example of one of the most iconic American pens of the 30s.
